Jim,
Bruce and I met for lunch yesterday, and we have accepted your call to action and will see if we can get the Chicago area alums together for a mini-reunion.  We'll keep you posted.
We are also not that far away, and we talked about driving over sometime for the monthly Clinton meeting.  I'm not sure dinner would work for us, but we could probably join you folks sometime for a brunch or lunch meeting.
 Have a nice weekend.

There is a group of classmates that get together the first Wednesday each month from the Clinton area. Now CA  had a get together for a CA reunion. Patty McDonnell Bradley can give you information on the Clinton group and Merle Stottlemeyer has arranged for the CA group. If interested in getting together send them an e-mail or give them a phone call. If you need e-mail address or phone number let me know.
These two group have started something. How about someone starting a reunion group in ME, FL, Quad Cities, Chicago, NC and TX? Of course I would expect pictures of the reunion for the class web site. Perhaps those that couldn't attend reunions in Clinton would be willing to have lunch together with the classmates that live close by.
I would list the classmate that is setting up a local reunion and help in anyway I can. What say!

If interested the group photo taken (By David Allison) on Saturday night at the 70th birthday party reunion has been reproduced at Office Max in Clinton. In town that aren't mailed the cost is $1.50. Out of town or mailed photos are $5.00. If you want a photo please forward your money and mailing address to me.

No pictures makes for no web pages. How about it !!!
Jim C. 7/5/08
Hey !!! How about some more pictures !!!!!! Need your help !!!!
Jim C. 5/24/08
Jim,
I was just looking at the CHS website and noticed Fred's obituary posted last fall. I wanted to let you know how thoughtful it was for you and Kay to come over to see Fred and give him the signed card, video, mug etc.. It meant a great deal to him to be remembered by his classmates, especially in his final few days. I also want to tell you how much I enjoyed seeing you again and too, all the great photos of the class of '57 at the reunion posted on the website. Being in the following class, I knew many of the people and it would have been a kick getting to talk to them after all these years.
Thank you, Jim, Kay and the Class of '57 for your kindness.
 Kurt Truax
I am so sorry you had to endure the wonderful global warming that is going on all around the world these days.  Why just Thursday I played 18 holes of golf in Bermuda shorts, and short sleve shirt.  While I was playing I was thinking about the wonderful white winter you have been having, and then today on your webpage I see how wonderful and beautiful it is.
Enjoy the rest of your winter, and if you are still wondering why some of us left Iowa, just look at your pictures and remember it was 72 here today.
Ed and Jan

Hi Jim, loved the pictures of winter you put on the websight today.  And
especially the one of the snow and the word winter.  HA   By the way it
was a bit  on the cool side here today also, only got up to 72 degrees.
Ahh the wonderful sunshine and temps.  Have a good spring if it does
arrive in Clinton.  But according to a few   people I write to it looks
sort of doubtful.  I do enjoy the pictures you have been puting  on the
websight.

Sheila (  Reimers ) Shinkle

Hi Jim

Sending a couple  pictures of the winter in Maine.  We also have had many snow storms, about one every third day. We are told our area has had over 120 inches of snow and just a few miles north they have had 155 inches.  THINK SPRING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am glad we live on high ground, we could see floods later.

What are you doing with your spare time, now that you are retired and the Class Reunion is over? The reunion was great, just too short. I don't get to talk to alto of old friends. You all did a GREAT JOB.

Ron & Dixie Carr

Thank you to everyone that has sent pictures for the class web site. We have over 300 pictures now.  Keep them coming !!!!!
The pictures don't have to be of the class reunion. Always enjoy family pictures, vacation pictures, etc. Lets see some pictures from those that weren't able to come to the class reunion. Your classmates would enjoy seeing some of your pictures.
Thank you for your help.
Jim C. (11-10-07)
Jim..Kay and all committee members
Thank you so very much for the wonderful time.  I can not begin to imagine how many hours all of you put into making such a wonderful event.  Everything was perfection...only the amount of time was short....I could have spent many more hours talking to classmates and remembering such great past times.
I hope that the spirit of the time continues and classmates will keep in touch.
Best wishes, best health and all the rest that is good.

Jim, Thought you might like the attached. Sorry we didn't get more time to catch up. Along with everyone else, let me compliment the work that you, Kay and the others put into making it a great occasion. Dave Holman
Jim, again, a great job on the reunion. It was a really enjoyable experience and a lot of fun to see many faces that I don't recall seeing since graduation. Looking for to the 60th!!
If you are keeping track of corrections to be made to the book of names, my telephone number is not correct, still the old North Carolina number for some reason. The correct number is 619-296-9625. The email is correct and I think most folks would use that anyway.
Thanks again for all you did!!!!
Ken Tranbarger
Hi Jim:
I want to thank you, Kay, and the rest of your committee for your  time and efforts in planning and putting on a great weekend for the Class of '57 reunion.  Having left Clinton and for that matter, Iowa, shortly after graduation, and not having attended a reunion before, many of the classmates I had not seen since we walked off the field at Iten Stadium on that June evening of graduation.  It was nice to visit and reminisce and would have liked more time after the dinner on Saturday night.
Again, thank you and your committee for a great weekend and we are looking forward to doing it again. Perhaps not even waiting for another 50 years.
Take care and we wish you and the rest of our class continued good health!
Dick
Jim, You did a great job!!   I think it went very well and everyone sure seemed to enjoy themselves.    Caryl
Hi Jim:
First, kudos to you, Pat, Carol, the whole Reunion Committee for organizing a great gathering.  It was such fun and a very good turnout--all due to your hard work.
Also, I attended the picture session (it got very hot, but I met even more classmates then).  I ordered a picture.
Thanks again for your fine work.
Karen Lind
Hi Jim & Kay, I want to thank you for a job very well done. I appreciate your leaving my name on the comittee list. I do not deserve the honor as I was not very helpful due to traveling all the time. [Not pleasure] by the way. The members of the comittee did and outstanding  job with your direction and I have had 98% positive comments regarding both Fri & Sat nites. I would also like a picture of Class if I forgot to order one Did I? Thanks again Jim & Kay for a great 2 days. Mike [Crouse] Darrow.
ever get one "kudo"?...actually, it's a greek word...but again, my friend, congratulations & thanx for a helluva job putting on the reunion..re, pictures: i'd like to see any that i was in (just in case i want to sue)...on a different topic--shelko & i talked abt. this--does your data base support telling us how many of us are out here on the left coast?...it'd be much easier to get together in monterey than in clinton next year...&, yes, i'm in favor of a 70-year thing...again, great job!!!...
Barry Doyne
What a joy it was to receive the poster, video, and roster.  How can I thank you and Kay and so many old classmates enough for the thoughts and concerns from friends I have not seen in so many years.  We both certainly wish it would have been possible to have been there.  It looks like it was a very special reunion and a grand time was had by all.
Again many thanks to you and Kay for what you sent, it made my day.
Mark Corr
Jim,
Congratulation to you and the committee on a fantastic job of putting together the "Class of 57" Reunion. You all did a fantastic job. Though I have only been coming since the 30th one this seemed to be one of a more relaxed nature. Everyone I talked with seemed to feel the same.
As always, it was great to see everyone once again. Doesn't seem that it has been that long.......50 years. WOW! As they say......."Time flies when one is having fun".
Again, Congratulations to each of you. Looking forward to the next one already.
Wayne
Hi Jim, Yes our 50's was the best yet.  Many thanks to your committee and
to you.  Its was good to see so many of our class return for this great event.
I have some pictures I'll send.
               Merle Stottlemyer
Thank you and the committee for all your hard work. It was a "10" out of
reunions(that was Linda's way of putting it). See you at the 75th.
Noel
Hey Jim - we didn't take any pictures but sure had a good time at the reunion.  You and Kay and the committee did an outstanding of planning and organizing the event and everyone enjoyed the time together.  Thanks to all of you for your hard work!
Wayne Fatchett
Thanks Jim I will be looking for it soon.  Can't wait to see if everyone
loooks the same as they did 50 years ago.  Ho Ho.  Sorry I could not
attend but health problems kept us away.  I bet it was a blast though.
Sheila
Jim,  Just wanted to say that I really enjoyed being part of the committee for the reunion & that everyone seemed to really like everything that was planned for them.  Pat yourself on the back & your partner Kay also. It would not have gone off as well without you. Jan B.
Jim,
Thanks to you and the rest of the committee for a great class of 57 reunion.  Warren and I both had a good time and enjoyed seeing everyone again.
Warren and Martha Burnett

Hi Jim ~~~~ Just wanted to send you an e-mail and let you know how much Gary and I enjoyed the 50th Class Reunion. It was so much fun, and I thought everything went very well.  I want you to know we really appreciate all the effort you and the committee put into it to make everything so special.

Thank you again for a job well done!!!!
Look forward to us getting together in the near future.
Bye for now,
Kay
HI Jim;
Again
Thank you and Kay for all your work.  We are home now trying to catch up
Dave Fergesen
Jim,  I had a wonderful visit both evenings. You and the committee did such a great job in putting it all together.
Thanks again,  Alberta Klingenberg - Campbell
Jim,
Please pass on to the reunion committee. Great reunion! Everything was very well organized, I know it take a lot of dedicated people to plan the reunion. Wish I lived close to have been able to help.
Bob Tillema
Jim,   I really enjoyed registering Friday night - it gave me a chance to see everybody when they registered.   I'm sure everyone has told you that you did such a great job of organizing the reunion and I agree.
Carol Sievert Helfert
Hi  Jim,    I  hear  the  reunion was  a  great  success.   I  would  have  liked  to  come,  but   we  had  planned  a  cruise  for  my  birthday,  but  that  didn't  pan  out  at  this  time  because  my  daughter  Brenda   was  sworn  in  to  the  Florida  State  Bar  as  a  new  Lawyer, Monday.  That  was  something  more  important  to  us  than  a  cruise.   We   had  to  drive  to  Daytona  where  the  ceremony  took  place.  ( about  a  2 1/2 hr.  drive  from  Valrico,  Fl.)    She  worked  hard  for  years  putting  herself  through  law  school  and  raising  2  daughters  on  her  own.   We  are  very  proud  of  her.   I  bet  you  are  glad  all  the  work  of  putting  the  reunion  together  is  over.     Have  a  great  day.    Your  classmate,     Madeline                   P.  S.   I  do  enjoy  reading  your  news  on  what  is  going  on  with  everyone.
Jim: Kudos to you and Kay and all of the Committee. Wonderful event, it was a great memory maker. Special thanks to Janice Shadduck (nee Alan), she was the hostest with the mostest as far as the Clinton Country Club was concerned. That was a special time for me. Thanks again, Karl Heidinger
Hi Jim,
Jim, Kay & Committee you did a phenomenal job!
Thanks for a WONDERFUL Memory, lets do it for 70's. Then at the
55th.  Yeah!!!!
Best Regards to you and all our classmates,
Elbert Hudson
Hi Jim,
Thanks to you, Kay and the Committee for a wonderful reunion.  I've only attended 2 others and neither of them thrilled me till now.  Somehow everyone this year seemed more open and friendly.  We enjoyed the company at our table and of others who visited with us.  Thanks also for the nice souvenirs.  The reunion has been on my mind a lot since Saturday.  I'm so happy we were able to attend and look forward to the next one in five years.  Thank you so much.
Ellen Conner
Hi Jim
I also want to thank you and the committee for the very enjoyable reunion. Donna and I had a great time. It sure was great seeing all of you again.
Thanks,
Bill Fugate
In 1957:
Dwight D. Eisenhower was President of the U.S.
The U.S. population was just under 172 million people.
Barry Gordy, Jr. invested $700 to found Motown Records.
Sputnik was launched.
A first class stamp cost 3 cents.
Gas was 24 cents a gallon.
A loaf of bread was 19 cents.
The average income was $4,500.
All Shook Up, by Elvis Presley, was the #1 song.
I Love Lucy and The Ed Sullivan Show were the
     top t.v. shows.
Jackie Robinson retired from baseball.
The University of Iowa beat Oregon in the Rose Bowl, and
Clinton's own Kenny Ploen was the MVP.
Clinton High School's swimmers and divers won the
   state championship.
Carolyn Traver was Homecoming Queen.
Everything good was "nifty".
Hi Jim : Per your request , below is the 1957 list pulled together by my wife Kay that I mentioned in my talk . Sure was a great reunion and I think everyone had good time . It was great to see you again and thanks  from all of us for your hard work in making this such a success . Let's be sure to keep in touch .

Fred Luthans

Hi Jim,
Just another quick "thank you" to you and Kay for ALL your efforts in making our 50th class reunion such a success. The two of you deserved nothing short of a standing ovation for all the hard work you put into this past week-end. Everyone I visited with enjoyed themselves so much and appreciated how organized both days were.
Hope you can get a little R&R now that it is over.
Take care and enjoy this wonderful "cool" weather.
 Pat Wenzel
Jim,
Just want to write a quick note and say "Thank You" to you and your committee for all the work you put into our 50th.   It was a wonderful weekend and everything was so well planned and went so smoothly.
Everyone I have talked to then and since all agreed it was a great time and the best reunion so far!!
Thanks again!
Barb S. Neill
I thank you for all your efforts on the reunion, and all I heard were positive comments. If we have a 70's reunion you can certainly call on me to do what you think I can do.
  Dick McLane
Hi Jim,
I want to thank you and the entire committee for such a great experience this past week end.  Since I had not been back to Clinton for 52 years I had no idea what to expect.  I must say my wife and I had a great time meeting and greeting old friends and we would certainly consider attending a future reunion.
Thanks again for all your hard work it is much appreciated on our part.
All the best

Vernon T. Hall, CPA/PFS, CFP®
Jim,
Many thanks for all your and your committee's hard work. Can I suggest you put on the Web site those costs from 1957 that Fred gave on Saturday evening. One example was the cost of gasoline per gallon back in 57.
Thanks
Dave Meyer
To Jim, Kay, The Committee and the 50th Reunion attendees:
Needless to say, I would have preferred to be present Saturday, but I was deeply moved by the card signed by so many classmates.
At present, it remains in a prominent position in the living room, while I expound to all the wonders of the class of '57.  We haven't decided on its permanent home, but it will be in an appropriate and visible location.
Again, thanks for thinking of me!
Larry David
Jim,
Again thanks to you and the Committee for a wonderful couple of days.  We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Could you tell me where the jars with logo came from?  They were totally unique, and I am thinking of using a variation for a group which I am involved with.
Thanks,
Tom Hueholt
Hi John and Kathy:
Thank you for the pictures.  I see from your camera position my white hair did shine.  It was great seeing and talking to all my old classmates after not being in Clinton for 25 years.
Thanks again
Best Regards
Dave
A standing ovation for Jim, Kay and the committee for a great and memorable 50th! So glad to see everyone and have some time to catch-up!

Dixie (Land) and Larry Jakubsen
Jim,
What a great reunion!  Everything was very well done.  My compliments to you and Kay and the entire committee for your efforts in putting everything together.  It is always such a wonderful experience to again share our memories and each other's company after so many years  I always enjoy them much more than I anticapate.  I stayed each evening until my voice was hoarse and my feet hurt (very seldom wear dress shoes anymore for long periods of time).  Like many past reunions, I wished that more of the local classmates would attend.  I live just a couple hours away, and I am so glad that many good folks in our class make the effort to travel to the reunions.
Thanks again, and I look forward to our next reunion.
Best regards,
John Stitzell
Jim. Please tell all your committee members what a fantastic experience  the reunion was & that their hard work in planning all events etc. was the best.  Again I thank you for making this last weekend such a marvelous reunion, and a most memorable occasion.
 Judy Coleman Hancock
While it is fresh in my mind, I want to thank you and Kay for all of your
efforts (plus those of reunion committee).  As I drove back to Wisconsin, I
just kept thinking of the event that had just unfolded.  After Saturday
dinner and ceremony, I did not want our reunion to end or to have classmates
leaving.  I was very touched by the memorial recognition of our deceased
classmates-  it was a very fitting tribute....and such a nice way to include
all of them in our celebration.  It was good to be able to see and talk to
you and Kay...Stay in contact....Buzz
Thanks for all you did to make it a super weekend!

David R. Work

Great job Jim.  Also thank Kay as I know she was a great help to you.  When I was doing it, I had no help at home.  Just the committee, and usually could only count on 3 or 4 people, as I am sure you found out also.

Stay well   Ed Sheller
Just wanted to drop you a quick line let you know how much I enjoyed the reunion.  You and Kay did a lot of work, but it really paid off.  All I herd was good comments.

I got thinking during the night and wondered if we should have tipped the driver of the boat.  If you think we should have, we can still send a thank you note and a tip.  He gave Dick Shelko a ride down to where his folks had their cabin on Rock Creek.  So he really was trying to show us a good time.

Again, had a really good time.
                                                                    Kay
The committee did a great job.
Thanks
 Deanna Gilson Galbraith

The second meeting for the 50th class reunion was held on June 7th. You can look at the web page to see who was at the meeting. Again the meeting was very positive and as some classmates referred to it as fun. We have selected a date of October 6, 2007 for the 50th class reunion. It will be held at the Clinton County Club. Everyone will have a choice to select  from a menu of three main dishes. Friday evening Mike Darrow has booked the Amvets Club for a get together. Janice Allen Shadduck will organize a golf game on Saturday for those wishing to play golf. Everyone on the committee has been asked to thinks of things to do the weekend of the class reunion. Lets hear from other classmates also. Boat trip, picnic, Saturday or Sunday breakfast, lunch on the Mississippi Belle or special tour. Lets hear from you, please. We will be getting a listing of motels and rates soon for those coming from out of town. The committee is anxious to get started on locating correct addresses, phone numbers and e-mail addresses. Would you like to help? Please let me know,  the more we have the easier the job will be. Please give your thoughts in the next few weeks so we can proceed with our next meeting.

Hey the first meeting for the 50th class reunion was held on May 24th at Rastrelli's. A very enthused group showed up for the meeting. The goal was to make for a very successful 50th class reunion for the class of 1957. Those in attendance were Patty Bradley, Kay Mulholland. Jan Shadduck, Mike Darrow, Jule Luckritz, Vallie Powel, Nancy Hebler, Dick McLane and Jim Carstensen. The first item on the agenda is to pick a date and location for the dinner. The consensus of the group was to pick a date the later part of September or first part of October. It seemed everyone agree that maybe a sit down dinner would make the evening more special. Some of the members are checking facilities for availability, menus and price. Locations being checked are Rastrelli's, Clinton Country Club, Vista Grande, Gils, Frontier and Millimum.  A brief discussion was had regarding events, classmates books and locating current addresses for the reunion. If anyone classmate from out of town has suggestions it would be helpful if you would contact someone on the committee. Our next meeting will be June 7th at 7:00 PM at the home of Jim Carstensen, 1025  8th Ave. N.  We look forward to seeing more classmates who couldn't make this meeting.

Hi Jim,

Just thought I would inform you & your web-site of my recent retirement.  Finally after 20 yrs with Smith Barney, Inc. My retirement treat to myself is a Bike Tour of the Lewis & Clark Trail.  We leave Grafton, IL (across the Miss. River from St. Louis) May 1st and arrive at Seaside OR June 27th.  Total of 2897 miles.  It is a fully supported ride, NO camping.  The ride is limited to 20 riders plus a mechanic, a CHEF, and support vehicle carrying baggage (and riders).  Upon my return, if I make it, I'll send you some photos.

I am really enjoying your CHS web site.

Would you like to see some different pictures ? So would Jim ! There have been many classmates that have promised to send pictures for the class of 57 web site, months ago. Douglas Nelson runs when he see me anymore as his pictures turns up everywhere. Judy Wiese has been a big help getting some new pictures. Maybe I should give her the names of those that made a promise but didn't send the pictures. She has her ways !!!!! I have heard of classmates getting together, but they didn't take pictures as they  didn't have a camera. For a few dollars you can get disposable camera. It is so much more fun when everyone helps. How about  you ?

My hard drive had to be replaced, along with the web site had problems.
For these reason you haven't seen any new pages on the web site for some time. I have a few pictures to publish but need new ones to keep the web site fresh. Need help from classmates that said they would send pictures but haven't yet. Also with the holidays passed surely some pictures can be forwarded. Thanks for you help.

Bruce,

Nar a response--but I didn't expect any.  When we get closer I will call specific people (mainly the panel truck gang plus some others and see what I can do) --I think it would be a great trip--all of our lives where influenced by that river and it would be fun to reflect upon how it brought us to where we are now and where it will carry us.

Some time to enjoy old and new friends.  I would like Jacquie to have a chance to see the majesty of the Mississippi.

About, the house--aren't you going in the wrong direction--is this not the time to sized down?  But, if you are over sixty, you should be able to go in any direction you want.  In any effect, sounds like you are really enjoying the house and making it into a home and that is the important thing.

Keep in touch.  Good luck with the Track Team.  Are you teaching at Deerfield or acting as a part of the Deerfield Track Coaching Team?

Erik

Dear Erik & Jacquie,

Hope both of you are swimming along with the current(things are going smoothly).  As a segue, is there any response to your Dubuque-Clinton boat trip?  If so, I volunteer(risky word) to help in some capacity.  Let me know.

Things are going along well here.  I moved into a new house in a new community and I don't get excited about houses---until now.  It's really a cool pad as we used to say.

Also it's track & field season at Deerfield High School and we have a team of 92 kids many of whom were on our conference championship team last year, so we are looking forward to a great season again this year.  Around June 1st I should have a little more time to myself.

My Best to Both of You,

Bruce

Dear Jim the Webmaster,

Wish I had more to say----- but I could mention that I just returned from Boise, Idaho, where I won 2 bronze medals in the National Masters Indoor Track & Field Championships.  I competed in the hurdles and high jump, in the 65-69 age group.

  How are things with you?

Regards,

Bruce

Thanks for your efforts, Jim. I'll try to get some of the others to contribute. It's fun.

The Clinton Public Library now has files of class newspapers and year books. People have donated these items so everyone can enjoy them. If you have any of these items from grade school to high school how about donating them so everyone can enjoy them.

Reported today that Carolee Christensen passed away Friday February 25th. She was the wife of Dean Christensen class of 1954. Dean is the one that started the class web site and helped get the class of 57 web site started. Dean the class of 57 is sorry to hear this new.
Hey !!!!!!!!! How about sending some fun pictures. It is more fun to look at new pictures instead of the same old ones. Your help is needed.

Happy New Year to You All  ---May 2005 be full of Peace, Love, and Kindness--(did I hear someone day "Good Luck"?  Well, at least we can try!)

The clock is ticking -- the 50th reunion will soon be upon us.  A couple of thoughts:

Some of you may want to finish the canoe trip we started in '56 -- How about a river houseboat trip from Dubuque to Clinton?

Some of you may want to finish off the the Davenport Debate team and the "Sweet Thing" who always looked down her nose at us (as well as her puffed up "Buddy")  How about a gathering to plan the rebuttal.

Some of you might want to get out the old stereo and listen to Gene Vincent and the Blue Caps sing "Woman Love."

Or whatever -- let me know your thoughts.

Erik Farley

Make it more inclusive and add some other topics, like---

    Discuss:

Powder Puffs that Davenport sent our football team in 55

Making the Sweet 16 Basketball tournament in 57

Who wore their pants the lowest (remember the putter pants)

        Parties on the river

Who had the best duck-tail, flat-top

        Sleep overs

        Hot cars

        Club 14's

        Rastrellis vs Marcusi's (sp)

        Lyons and Clinton together

And much more--send in your ideas

Hey !!!!  How about some fun pictures from you. I know you have them.
Happy holidays. Why not send e-mail that can be posted in the forum. You also can wish some others something.

You may have noticed that some pages disappeared from the site. The web service changed servers and some of the pages were lost in the process. Then it took this old boy some time to figure out the new format. I think we are back in business again. Please send some more material for the web pages. Without material there won't be any new pages.  Click on 1955 and see all the new pages that George Jensen has put up.

Jim Carstensen                                                                  August 22, 2004

I have heard that quite a few of the classes that graduated from Clinton High School are getting together
once a month or every other month to have lunch together.

They either have a set day of the month and place to meet or put it in the newspaper.

We had a good time the day a few of us got together for lunch when Merle was in town and I wondered if
anyone would be interested in starting a lunch time for our class.

Maybe we could post this on our web site and see if we have any interest in doing this.

Hello Mr. Carstensen

I just wanted to give you update on my Dad. On May 3rd, 2004 he became a Great Grandfather for the first time to:

6 lb 5 oz baby boy
19 1/2 in long
Born at 4:26 PM
Monday May 3rd, 2004
His name is Alex Aaron Cady
His parent are Grand Daughter Amanda Maring Cady and her husband Cory Lee Cady

My Dad is just thrilled to be a Great Grandfather and holds him every chance he gets. In fact he came to the hospital less than an hour after his birth and got to go into nursery to see him. I saw tears in his eyes, thinking my Mon should of seen this blessed event. She was there as the sparkle in the babies eyes. I have enclosed a picture for you to add to his section of the website. It is four generations of the Eggers family.

Thank you,
Laurie Eggers Reafsnider

Had a nice visit at my house with Merle Stottlemeyer. He brought 48 pictures and articles for the web site. The interesting things was Merle has made visits with other classmates and has taken his camera with him to record the events. Because of this we will now have current pictures of some classmates that we haven't seen on the web. I have taken Merle's idea and I now carry my camera with me and if I see a classmate I can take a picture for the web site, if they agree. Also have taken some for other classes and passed them on to web master. They also are looking for pictures for their web site.  I have heard of other classmates that visit each other. Why not take pictures for the web. With all the photo equipment available it is so easy to make copies to forward for the web.

No one has made use of the form and I would guess that most people are shy of it. Your e-mail for the form doesn't post direct. I have to retype your e-mail and post it. Don't be afraid to use it as I will make sure your remarks are posted correctly.

Keep the pictures coming. Without them this site will die.

April 11, 2004 (Judy Holstein Brandenburg)

I think that's a great idea and I suggest that Kay and Jim get busy planning it. I hear Kay is retired now and she and Jim have plenty of spare time to organize it. Better get started 2005 will be here before you know it. Thanks in advance for all the work you will be doing. See you, Judy

 April 11, 2004 (Jim)

Good thought Kay. There have been many classmates that said they had pictures to send but haven't as yet. Sure would be nice for them to take a little time now and send pictures as everyone gets great enjoyment at seeing pictures of classmates and especially the classmates that they haven't seen for a long time. If there is interest I will start some pages of pictures of classmates as they appeared in high school and how they look today. If you would send me a current picture of yourself I can start a now and then page.

April 11, 2004 (Kay Stafford Mulholland)

Dixie had a good idea, I believe that the Clinton celebration is in 2005. Need some input from others to see how they feel.  It would also be nice for others that have not sent pictures to send for our web page!

April 11, 2004 (Jim)

I don't know but lets put it out and see how our classmates feel about it.

March 10, 2004 (Dixie Land Jakubsen)

Do you know if our class is planning a reunion to coincide with the 150th birthday celebration of Clinton? I believe that a number of classes are even if it hasn't been five years since their last one.
