Clinton, Iowa celebrated its Centennial in 1955 which means our Sesquicentennial year is coming up in 2005. Committees are already at work trying to make the Sesquicentennial celebration as grand as the Centennial celebration was. I am sure any suggestions would be welcome and well considered by the committee. This is a community event and all of the citizens and former citizens of Clinton should make plans now to aid in creating a party to remember for the next fifty years. Below are some photos of the 1955 Centennial which should bring back memories for those of us that participated and whet the imaginations of those who will be celebrating for the first time.
