A little family pride, this is my Grandfather, Nels Nelson. He was a meat cutter in business with his brother, Chris and at other times with Henry Bossen.

Grocery located at 214 South Fourth Street. Lined up in front is Nels Nelson, Bill Sandaler, Sr., Gus Carlson and I believe the lady is Gus' daughter.

Carstensen & Walton Groceries was located on Camanche Avenue. I do not know any of the history on this store but the Carstensen was an uncle, Andy Carstensen.
